Comets tumble at NB

NASELLE ---- A lackluster third quarter was Naselle's undoing as the Comets dropped a 74-62 decision to North Beach in the Comets' Pacific 2B League boys basketball opener on Thursday.Austin Burkhalter led Naselle (1-3, 0-1 league) with 23 points, with older brother Kyle Burkhalter adding 15."We wanted to trap in the third quarter and get back in it," Naselle coach Brian Macy said. "We got as close as seven points but were unable to overcome the deficit."The Comets were without Nathan Sultemeier, who was sick with the flu.
